Property Inspections across the South West

What are they?

You may have concerns about your property, perhaps there’s evidence of damp or some structural movement, cracks in the wall or problems with the floors. You could have a problem with roof leaks, or storm damage and cavity wall issues, or maybe a building firm has quoted you for some works they say you need doing and you want a second, professional opinion.

It means you will be looking for some independent and impartial advice to help you rectify it. You may already know that Barron Surveying Services Ltd ticks both those boxes.

We carry out detailed inspections on residential properties, commercial and industrial buildings, using our extensive expertise and experience to help you pinpoint the problem and put it right.

Also choose Barron Surveying Services Ltd for Fire Risk Assessments.

James says: “Believe me when I say, that in 30 plus years of surveying, there aren’t many defects in a building I haven’t seen. That means you can trust in my judgement, totally, and I will do everything I can to put it right.”

Why do I need a property inspection?

Buildings are like us really, made up of components that over many, many years will suffer wear and tear and eventually break down.

When it does, you need to be able to call on what we refer to as ‘defect diagnosis’, utilising our many years of experience, training and professional knowledge to tell you what’s wrong and how to treat it. A bit like a building doctor.

In terms of fire risk assessments, clearly there is a legal requirement, but trust in Barron Surveying Services Ltd to ensure you are always compliant.

What we do

We will of course do a full report on the inspection and make any recommendations accordingly.
But customers trust in our judgement - which is why they also tend to ask us if we can recommend a professional who can put the defect right. Sometimes clients have already had a quote and want to know if they are getting value for money. We might suggest you get a second opinion, which could prove more cost effective.

We even get asked to project manage some works just to make sure it is done correctly. Basically, Barron Surveying Services Ltd has always got your back. As well as fire risk assessments, we also handle land registry lease plans, where a property is perhaps being sub-divided and needs to be registered under a separate title.

Fire risk assessment surveys

Barron Surveying Services Ltd can assist with fire risk assessments, typically where a property is going through a lease change and must be compliant with fire regulations to determine what (if any) action you will need to take.
